About Us
Founded in 1979, Sherston Drama Group has been entertaining audiences for over 45 years. We aim to produce enjoyable theatre productions whilst also being inclusive, friendly and welcoming.

Typically we produce two shows a year - a play at Easter (often an adult-only cast or sometimes involving older teenagers) and a pantomime in October half term (which includes children aged 9 and upwards). However this is only a rough plan and our activities sometimes vary! We also host other events such as workshops, as well as regular social events.

Rehearsals take place in Sherston on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the run up to each production.
Most of our performances take place in Sherston Village Hall, where we have the option to build our custom stage, designed and first constructed in the 1980s by founding members of the group.

SDG is run by a committee (currently ten people), who are elected at the AGM each year. We're always keen to hear from potential new members! If you're interested in joining us, please see the Membership page.
